AROMATHERAPY Massage – 1 1/2 h, sfr 180.–

If you’re feeling stressed, sore and overtired — in other words, in need of a massage — but you’re not quite in the mood for a strenuous muscle-kneading session, an aromatherapy massage could be right up your alley. The purpose of an aromatherapy massage is to use the restorative properties of essential oils to relax and heal your body and mind.

Essential oils are 100 percent natural, highly concentrated plant essences. There are more than 3,000 essential oils out there, each with its own therapeutic qualities. You name the ailment, and there’s an essential oil that could relieve it. They’re used to treat pain, muscle spasms, stiffness, depressioninsomniaasthmacongestion, hypertension, and the list goes on.

If you sign up for a massage that’s billed as aromatherapeutic, you might want to ask the therapist some questions before you get started. You’ll want to make sure that he or she will be using essential oils — not fragrance oils, which are synthetic oils that smell great but don’t have the therapeutic effects of essential oils.

Cupping therapy , combined with other therapies

A wonderful ancient technique has found it’s place in the modern world of healing.

By creating suction and negative pressure, Massage Cupping therapy is used to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, and drain excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways. Massage Cupping is versatile and can easily be modified to accomplish a range of techniques, from lymphatic drainage to deep tissue release. This complements many health modalities ranging from spa treatments to medical massage and physical therapy.

It wakes the body up and makes it feel invigorated, at the same time producing a profound level of healing through nervous system sedation.
It stimulates the skin by increasing circulation while separating fused tissue layers and draining lymph to promote a smooth appearance and healthy glow.
It works deeper by loosening adhesions, facilitating the muscles to operate more independently and stimulating healthy elimination of accumulated debris in the tissues, organs and systems.

The Cupping belongs to  the cleansing and purging procedures.

We make a difference between 3 cupping forms :  the suction massage with dry cupping, the bloody and the non-bloody cupping.

The preferred area fort he cupping is the back. The skin would become red with a strong cupping massage, which means that the blood circulation is brought back to the surface.

The cupping massage is not irritant for the skin and body. This technique proves excellent as a contrast for cold wraps and plasma & lymph fluid stimulation .
